Funeral services for Chief Pay Clerk Lawrence Arthur Frankland, Marine Corps, who died in Naval Hospital Wed- nesday, were held at 1 o'clock this aft- ernoon at his late residence, 314 Girault avenue, Virginia Highlands, Va. Mili- tary services and burial were to be held later at Arlington National Cemetery. Frankland was born here in 1885 and enlisted in the Marine Corps in August, 1900. During the World War he served in France and his service covered duty in Cuba and many other Marine posts. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sybil C. Frankland.
