Henry Morton Phillips, superintend- ent of the Naval Research Laboratory, who died Sunday at his home, 1211 Fern street, will be buried in Rock Creek Cemetery this afternoon. The inter- ment wiil follow funeral services at 2:30 o'clock at Trinity Episcopal Church, at which Rev. David C. Clark, rector, will officiate, assisted by Rev. C. M. Young, rector emeritus. Mr. Phillips, who formerly was asso- ciated with Thomas A. Edison and the | Western Electric Co., came here in 1917 as plant superintendent of the Naval Research Laboratory. He was the | author of numerous articles of scientific nature. His widow, Mrs. Elizabeth W. Phillips, and two daughters, Elizabeth and Juliet, survive., . Franklin Plerce Weller, 78, well known Washington druggist for many years, who died Sunday night, will be buried in Congressional Cemetery this afternoon, following funeral services at the home of his son-in-law and daugh- ter, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Hynson, 3435 Thirty-fourth place. Honorary pallbearers are Gratz E. Dunkum, Eugene E. Thompson, Albert W. Bright, Francis H. Criswell, Paul| Pearson and Philllp G. Affleck. Born in Thurmont, Frederick County, Md., of Revolutionary ancestry, Mr. Weller came to Washington as & youth. During the early 80s he served as pharmacist in the Navy, retiring to open a drug store at Eighth and I streets southeast. He retired last October. Mrs. Louise Harding Earll, 77, active in religious and civic affairs here for many years, died late yesterday at her home, 3141 Mount Pleasant street, fol- lowing a brief ill- ness. She was the widow of R. Edward Earll. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm. Thursday, at the National Bap- tist Memorial Church, with Rev. G. G. Johnson, officiating.
