ANNAPOLIS, March 22.—Repre- sentatives of a number of firms which manufacture methyl (wood alcohol) anti-freeze preparations appeared be- fore the Judicial Proceedings Committee of the Senate yesterday to urge the re- peal of legislation passed during the | 1931 session of the assembly. The 1931 law requires that all pre- parations containing 10 per cent or more wood alcohol must be given a distinctive coloring and so adulterated as to induce vomiting if taken in- ternally. William Curran, Baltimore lawyer, acted as spokesman for the delegation as Chairman S. Scott Beck called the meeting to order. Mr. Curran explained that the 1931 law had been ssed after a series of deaths and serious illnesse: sulted from drinking a parations.
