LEOBEN, Austria, March 2 (P).— The Austrian Mining College, the “Montanistiche Hochschule,” today con- ferred the honorary degree of doctor of mining on President Herbert Hoover of the United States. ~ Minister C. B. Stockton received it on behalf of Mr. Hoover and replied briefly in German to an address lauding the American President’s international achievements and recalling particularly his relief work in Austria after the war.
