These reports sprang up after all at- tempts by the President to obtain a | party government failed because of the deadlock in the Reichstag, where no single party has a majority, and no coalition could be arranged. It was then the President turned to | Von Schleicher, who was the power in |the Von Papen cabinet, which itself twice dissolved a hopelessly deadlocked Reichstag.
