In an effort to secure $60.000 toward a building fund for completion of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Atonement, North Capitol street and Rhode Island avenue, members of the congregation plan to launch a drive, AL present services are being held in the chapel, which was dedicated in 1906. There is also a parish hall. Upon this foundation the main church and tower will be erected. The estimated value of the present plant and equip- ment is $100,000. The first-floor plan of the main church is 112 by 60 feet, seating 550. The choir transcept and space for seating 20. caulted ceiling 50 feet high, large pipe organ. tower 90 feet high, designed for chimes and me- orial windows.
