TRIBUTE T0 MOTHER OF FIRST PRESIDENT Special Program Will Be Held at Cathedral on After- noon of May 8. Tribute to the memory of Mary Ball Waghington, mother of George Wash- | ington, will be paid In a special pro- | gram at the Washington Cathedral on | the afternoon of Mother's day, May 8. "The program is sponsored by the Dis- trict Bicentennial Commission and the Washington Pederation of Churches. Ministers of several denominations and others of note will take part. Bishop James E. Freeman of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington will deliver the sermon, and prayers will be Tead by Very Rey. Dr. G. C. F. Brate- pahl, dean of the Washington Cathedral, | and Rev. Dr. Ze Barney Phillips, chap- lain of the Senate and rector of the Church of the Epiphany. Sketch Will Be Read. A sketch of the mother of the first President will be read by Mrs. John D.
