LURAY, Va, March 7.—The Ameri- can Legion Auxiliary has pianned a full program from now until the last of May. On Decoration day, Poppy day will be observed. To encourage interest the auxiliary is sponsoring a contest in poster advertising among the students of the high school. In addition to a substantial prize offered by the local auxiliary, the winner will be eligible to compete in the national contest. In April, on the anniversary of the entry of the United States into the war, the auxiliary will entertain in hon- or of the Legionnaires and their wives, while a Washington tea will be given some time this month. The auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. C. S. Burgess. A feature of the program was an original paper on “Americanism,” by Mrs. W. P. Hersh- berger. Mrs. Leo Hoak is president of the auxiliary.
