Mrs. Beavers, a native resident, re- ceived her early education here and in 1900 was graduated from St. Joseph's College, Emmittsburg, Md. She spent some time in Mexico. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Patrick, Thomas and Bernard Beavers; three daughters, Miss Marian Beavers, Mrs. Luke J. Fegan and Miss Dorothy Beavers; two brothers, Joseph and John Ryder, and three. grand- children. William A. Johnson, 75, native Wash- ingtonian and for many years prom- inently identified with organizations here, died yesterday at his home, 1318 Columbia road, after a short illness. For 55 years Mr. Johnson was clerk in the real estate firm here of Fitch, Fox & Brown. He .was widely known among the leading stamp collectors of the National Capital and served for many years as president of the local Philatelic Society, at the time of his death being president emeritus of this group. He also had long been an active member of the Knights of Columbus, belonging to Spalding Council, No. 417. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Johnson, and sister, Miss Mary Catherine Johnson Funeral services will be held in the Shrine of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock, following brief services at the residence.
