CHICAGO, November 9.—The Gov- ernment has caught _another reputed Capone follower in its drive to put members of the gang behind prison bars or deport them. Antonio Capezio, known to the poiice as “Tough Tony,” suspected by the au- thorities of having been one of the gunners in the machine gun massacre of seven gangsters on St. Valentine's day in 1929, is the man seized. He was arrested by police as a bank robbery suspect. No one could identify him as such, but he was ordered held by W. F. Watkins, an_immigration agent. ‘Watkins said he had information that Capezio was born in Italy in 1901 and was never naturalized in the Unit- ed States. Capezio is the fourth reputed Capone gangster who has been caught. Tony “Mops” Volpe was seized last Spring. A deportation warrant was issued, but Volpe appealed to the courts. A de- cision is expected soon. More recently Murray W. Carsson, ial assistant to Secretary of Labor ak, led a force of agents into Chi- cago in a drive against aliens alleged to have entered the country illegally, and two more Capone men were ar- rested. ‘They are James Belcastro. sometimes called “the king of bombers,” { and “Dago Lawrence” Mangano.
