Catterton, District fire- man, who died Wednesday at Walter Reed Hospital, was buried this after- noon in Cedar Hill Cemetery after fu- neral services at Deal’s funeral home at 2 o'clock. He was appointed to the Fire Depart- ment in 1919 and attached to No. 27 Engine Company, in which he served until 1922, when he was retired be| cause of disability caused by a wound he had received in France. He was re- appointed to the department in 1920 and served until two menths ago, when he entered Walter Reed Hospital. He was a member of the American Legion. Marine Corps, retired, who died suddenly at the Hotel Brighton, Atlantic City, N. J., will be held at Fort er chapel at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Col. Treadwell was born in the Dis- trict 62 years ago and was graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1890, when he was commissioned in the Marine Corps. He served contin ously in this branch of the service un- til retired, at his own request, in 1922. He saw active service in the Spanish- American and World Wars, and was last on duty on the Pacific Coast.
