SUNRISE SERVICE SET FOR EASTER Pageant, “The Resurrection,” to Feature Temple Heights Program. ‘The annual Easter sunrise service, un- der auspices of the Federation of Churches, will be held on Temple Heights, Connecticut and Florida ave- nues. The program will begin at 7:30 o'clock. D. The closing prayer will be offered by Gor- don Barnes, president of the Epworth League of the Methodist Episcopal Chulth in the District. Ushers will be provided by the Epworth Leagues of the Mfthodht Eplscopa] Church South. An offering will be received at the close to defray expenses, any additional amount being used for the hospital work of the {federation. This is the sixth service of this na- | ture which has been conducted by the federation, the grounds being furnished by the courtesy of the Masonic order. Stockdale, former pastor of Rogers Park Congregational Church, Chicago, will begin his new pastorat? tomorrow at Pirst Congregational Church, Tenth and G streets. Dr. Stockdale supplied the pulpit of First Church during the months of January and February as a guest preacher and the call to becom: the pastor of this | church was extended to him in March. Dr. Stockdale served pastorates in Boston, Mass.; Toledo, Ohio, and Chi- cago. His subject at the morning serv- ice at 11 o'clock will be “A New House for an Old Tent.” ‘The new chimes which have just been installed in the organ at First Church will be dedicated and used for the first time tomorrow morning.
