HOLLYWOOD, Calif, February 16. —Louis Wolheim, rugged character actor of stage and screen, prepaed at a hospital today to undergo what his physicians term “an exploratory lapa- vs. Norman Sprague and Clarence Hopkins said they did not believe he had appendicitis, but there was & malady in the region of his appendix.
