NITRATE COMBINE PLANS ADVANCING Loan Will Help Finance $376,000,000 Chilean Proposal. By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, January ' 16.—Pablo Ramirez, chairman of the special Chil- ean Commission now in New York, said “dn a statement yesterday that negotia- tions looking .to the creation of the $375,000,000,, Chilean nitrate combine ‘were procesding satisfactorily.” He denied a report from Santiago that a $325,000,000 loan had been ar- renged with New York bankers, saying the figure was “fantastic.” He said the amount of the eventual loan had not yet been discussed. His statement was the first informa- tion from an official source that a loan will be one feature of the financing now being discussed by the commis- sion with re%menunvu of the Gug- genlieims, who, through the Anglo- Chilean Consolidated Nitrate col'pd!l- tion, own a preponderating interest in mitrate properties in the South Ameri- can’ country.
