RICHMOND, Va. January 3.—The little mistress of the Governor's mansion, center of attraction at many a State oceasion during the past year, will be married tonight quietly and simply. The ceremony uniting Miss Susanne Pollard, daughter of the Governor of Virginia and Mrs. John Garland Pol- Jard, and Herbert Lee Boatwright, jr., ‘Washington lawyer, will be performed at the mansion with only relatives and intimate friends present. Afterward the doors of the official residence will swing open to 500 guests. ‘Williamsburg Rector Officiates. ‘The officiating clerl'ymnn will be the Rev. Dr. W. A. R. Goodwin, rector of historic Bruton Paris Church, Williams- burg, of which Miss Pollard and her mother are communicants. Gov. Pollard will give away the bride and the only attendants will be Miss Emily Pollard of Marion, Va., a cousin, and Benjamin Booth, jr., of Danville, Va. Prom the day last January, when Sue Pollard sat with the heads of State government and watched the Virginia chief justice administer the oath to her father, she has been the pride of Virginians as the official hostess of the % o commonwealth.
