He sald the charter provides that the town cannot borrow more than $! ‘The few improvements Glen !:chn has been able to make in recent years have been done piecemeal without definite co-ordinated plan, James Christopher, deputy clerk to the Montgomery County Commissioners, declared at a meeting of the Glen Echo Citizens’ Association, and have been both costly and detri- mental to the future systematic growth of the town. He said inability of the town to obtain sufficient funds for im- proving whole streets at one time has resulted in a haphazard street system. The matter of changing the charter is expected to be discussed at the De- cember meeting of the Glen Echo Citi- zens' Association.
