Mrs. Oesterreich is on trial for her husband’s murder. Mrs. Florence Rawson, a neighbor, and her guest, Mrs. Cora Norton, testi- fled yesterday they heard four shots the night of the siaying, saw a man’s feet through a window, heard pound- ngs on- doors and saw lights in the Oesterreich home flash on and off They testified Mrs. Oesterreich cried “Oh. Fred!” after the shots were fired Although the women had testified . twice before, once at a preliminary hearing and once during the trial of Otto Sanhuber, jointly accused ~with Mrs. Oesterreich, neither had said Mrs Oesterreich was intoxicated. They said they did not mention the woman's , condition because they had not been asked Sanhuber, said to have lived in attic compartments in Oesterreich homes and to have been Mrs. Oesterreich’s “attic lover,” went free when he was found | guilty of manslaughter, a charge which the statute of limitations had outlawed.
