Kaye of the 121st Regi- | fment of Engineers, District National Guard, who is a photographer in the construction and repair department of the Washington Navy Yard, has de- wised a_method for making reproduc- tions of blue prints which regimental officers think may be adopted by the Regular Army. The device perfected by Sergt. Kaye #8 a substitute for large plate glass frame, weighing 35 pounds, with which photographers make copies of biueprints made from field drawings. The Kaye| method utilizes celluloid on a base of $héet steel, the two articles being elamped together and the whole weigh- ing about one pound. Excellent prints have been obtained after 15 seconds’ exposure to the sun. Col. John L. Oehmann, commanding the regiment, submitted the smaller type frame to Lieut. Col. H. A.
