The annual convention of the Balti- more Archdiocesan Union of the Holy Name Societies will be held April 27 at the Catholic University of America. At 11 a.m. there will be a mass at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, while at 2:30 o'clock the convention will open in the gymnasium. C., SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 1930. i GRINNELL PROFESSORS TO SPEAK TO PASTORS Dr. Moffatt Will Deliver Principal Address at Second An- nual Retreat. Dr. James Moffatt, professor in Union Theological Seminary, New York City, and Dr. Edward A. Steiner, professor in Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa, will be the principal speakers at the Second Annual Pastors’ Retreat to be held on April 28 and 29. The first retreat was held at Ameri- can University last Spring, and was at- tended by many ministers from Wash- ington and nearby Maryland and Vir- ginta. Dr. Lucius C. Clark, chancellor of American University, who was formerly secretary of the Washington Federation of Churches, and Dr. Arthur J. Jackson, director of the Department of Religion, American University, have announced that each of the speakers will deliver three addresses. Registration for the retreat will start Monday at 3:30 o'clock and the retreat will close with an ad- dress by Dr. Steiner on Tuesday night. Further details of the program will be announced later.
