A—10 CHURCH 1S LISTED FOR DEDICATION | ‘Special Services to Be Held| at Sixth Presbyterian Edifice, | Beginning Tomorrow. The new Sixth Presbyterian Church Bt Sixteenth and Kennedy streets will | be formally dedicated with special ex-| ercises tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. The services will morning at 11 o'clock with the celebra- tion of holy communion, when Dr. Charles Wood, pastor emeritus of the Church of the Covenant, will preach the sermon. The dedication exercises will take place at 4 o'clock, when the following clergymen will have part in the service: Rev. J. Harvey Dunham, Dr. Alfred E. Barrows and Dr. James H. Miers. The prayer of dedication will be offered by Dr. Douglas P. Birnie and the sermon will be preached by Dr. Lewis S. Mudge, stated clerk of the general assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the United States. The resentation of the keys to Dr. H. N. Bormun president of the board of trus- tees, will be made by Ernest C. Lee, chairman of the building committee. Monday Evening Program. Monday evening is set aside as Pres- | bytery night, with Rev. Bernard Bras- kamp, moderator of the Washington City Presbytery, presiding. He will be sssisted in the service by Rev. Henry W. Tolson, Rev. Henry B. Wooding and Dr. John C. Palmer. Greetings in be- half of the churches of the Presbytery will be brought by Dr. Wallace Rad- cliffe, former moderator of the general assembly. The sermon will be brenched by Dr. Albert J. McCartney, pastor of the Church of the Covenant. After the service a reception will be held in the chapel. Organ Recital Tuesday Evening. Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock an organ recital will be |tven by Adolf Torovsky and an address by Dr. Joseph R. Siz00, tor of the New York Avenue Pres- an Church. The Sixth Presbyterian Church was organized in 1853 and moved from the Southwest. to its present location when the chapel was built in 1916. Rev. God- frey Chobot was received by Washing- ton City Presbytery May 12, 1924, and was installed as pastor May 20. Ground ‘was broken for the new building by E. C. Lee, chairman of the building com- mittee, January 2, 1929. The seven- ty-fifth anniversary of the church was celebrated Jmulry 20, 1929.
