BY R. D. THOMAS. HE schedule for the large:: singles tournament ever held in Washington Alley 46, Dltk WWG W, AP e et ones. James G Herman It will open at Convention H the night after Christmas. Those whose names are listed are urged to note the alleys on which they will shoot and the time. Something of an experi- ment will be worked out in the big pin party. The tournament committee has taken upon itself a heavy burden by listing four squads a night instead of the usual two and two bowlers to an alley instead of five. This has been done for the convenience and additional enjoyment of the bowler. It will be unnecessary for any participant to give an entire eve- ning to the tournament and the two or three instead of five bowl- ers to an alley will enable all to shoot faster. Long waits between frames to most bowlers are irk some. Due to urgent request dates it has been necessary in a few Instances to book five bowlers to_two alleys. Women will roll three to an alley, but will shoot only three games. They should finish in about the same time as the men, who will fire away for five strings. ‘The cross-over system will be em- ployed. That is to say, a bowler will shoot first on the alley for which he i3 Alley Tremann, ennings. Alley 89, o Weldman, P Alle: H. W. Stebert. William' A.
