He is the fourth son of Dr. John Armstrong McAfee, who, in connection with Col. Then he went to Union Seminary, made a great scholastic record, was graduate in 1888 and was immediately ordeined into the Presbyterian minis- try. He served as professor of mental and moral philosophy at Park and was preacher in the college church. He then accepted & call to the pastorate of a church in Chicago. He went to Brooklyn, N. Y, and served for eight years as pastor of La- fayette Avenue Presbyterian Church. c¥o which posc he still fills, He re. ceived the degree of M. A. and D. D. from_Park, Ph. D. from Westminster and LL. D. from Tusculum. “He is author of many books. He has traveled extensively .in oth:r countries. Elected in 1929. He had the honor of being appointed first lecturer under the Josehp Gook Foundation in 1924-25, when he presented the Christian faith to the people of India, Siam and five other Far Eastern countries, He has for several years been a member of th! Dr. McDowell, who is accompanying ‘Moderator McAfee, is an suthority on industrial problems.
