A brand-new crop of stock buyers, greatly augmenting the “regulars” who have crowded the offices of the stock brokers in recent months here, has been attracted into stock dealings in the past few days in search of bargains in the recovering shares hit hardest in the big break which started Tuesday afternoon and reached its peak Wednes- day—some of the new crop getting their bargains and some not, according 1o heads of the local brokerage offices. Indications that the Washiguton buy- ing public was “laying off” the market just before the break is evident in the paucity of buying orders brokers early this week, but since the big break there has been a rush to buy thatonly was equaled by the rush to sell when the' smash came. A survey of Washington brokers re- veals the fact that as the result of the break, people who have stayed out of the market for two, three and even four years, waiting for the long-expect- ed crash to come in stocks, have turned mnto the market now with their hands full of money ready to pick up wh ever might seem to them a bargain. One firm reported that it had only seven buy orders on the day beforesthe big break and that today there were 60 on the books. BALTIMORE, October 26.—Plans are being completed for a change in the capital structure of the Baltimore Trust Co. and the organization of a se- curities company with a capital of 5,000,000, according to Donald Sym- ington, president of the trust compeny. Both the trust and securities companies will be operated as one. Following the completion of legal de- tails, the name of the company, if any change should be desired, and other ex- ecutive detalls will be announced. The stock of both the irust and se- curities companies will consist of 6 000- shares.
