RABBI WISE VOICES FAITH IN BRITAIN s Holds Government Not En-: tirely to Blame for Mos- lem Disorders. He doss not hold the British govern- ment wholly to blame for the recent attacks on the Jews in Palestine by Arab bands and he has faith in that government's promise to protect them from further molestation, ‘Rabbi Ste- phen 8. Wise of New York told a mass meeting of some 700 persons who gath- ered in the Washingtoh Hebrew Con- gregation Reformed Temple, Eighth and H _streets, last night. He said that certain persons in Palestine “who call themselves Christains” not only per- mitted the murderous attacks on de- fenseless women and children, but were instrumental in creating ill-will on the part of the Arabs. Prior to this Rabbl Abram Simon made a brief introductory address, in which he expressed the hope that the meeting would not develop into a vitri- olic attack upon & people, but that the evening would be spent in making con- structive plans for the relief of the Jewish people in Palestine. Confers With Hoover. Before coming to the meeting, Dr. Wise had a conference with President Hoover, regarding the situation in Pales- tine. He said that he was highly pleas- ed with the outcome.
