McKinley, a nephew of former President McKinley, was No. 14 in the list of colonels in the adjutant general's department. His promotion was based on the recom- mendation of Secretary Good of the His service in the Regular Army be- gan in February, 1899, when he~was appointed second lieutenant of Cavalry and he reached the grade of colonel in that arm in May, 1921. In March, 1923, he was transferred to the adjutant general's department and has_since served in various posts in the United Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Wood at Sperry- ville, Rappahannock County. Burns of Germantown, Md., and Mr. Frederick Henry Dollenburg of Tow- son, Md., is taking place at 4 o'clock | this afternoon in the Methodist Epis- copal Church at Germantown, in the presence of a large assemblage. The ceremony will be performed by Rev. | Henry Gerstmeyer of Baltimore, an uncle of the bridegroom, assisted by Rev. A. E. Splelman, pastor of the church. The edifice is beautifully dec- orated with white flowers and ever- greens, as is the home of the bride’s perents, where a reception will be held immediately following the ceremony. The bride will be given in marriage by her father and will wear white chiffon, white horsehair braid hat and will carry a bouguet of white bride roses. Miss Ella Y. Burns of Germantown | will be maid of honor for her sister. Her gown is a biege chiffon and she will carry mixed flowers. The brides- maids are Miss Louise Young of Hagers- ) town, who will wear orchid chiffon, and Miss Cleo Snyder of Germantown, whose dress is of green chiffon, both wiil carry Elx!d flowers. Miss Mabel ,Heavener of [yattsville, Md., will sing *‘at Dawning” and “I Love You Truly,” Miss Mary Rome of Germantown being the accom- panist. ‘The bridegroom’s father, Mr. Paul Dollenburg of Towson is to be best man, and the ushers selectea are Mr. Stilman Burns, brother of the bride, of Ger- mantown, and Mr. Frank Hershner of Towson. Following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Dollenburg will leave for an extended trip.
