HOOVER 70 RECEIVE MEDAL TOMORROW! John Fritz Award Will Be Be- stowed by Four Engineer- ing Societies. President Hoover, at a luncheon to- morrow ni the White House, will be awarded the John Fritz gold medal for 1929, an honor bestowed jointly by four prominent engineering societies ~for “notable scientific or industrial achieve- ment.” The President will be host at the luncheon to officers of organizations participating in the award—the Ameri- can Societies of Civil, Mining and Me-~ tallurgical, Mechanical and Electrical Lngineers. “Lhe societies have a joint. member- ship of 60,000.
