In tha: year she said there were 119,681 deaths or 65 per 1,000 births, compared to 136,118 deaths or 71 per 1,000 births in 1926. Utah had the lowest death rate, 46 per 1,000 births. Oregon was second with 48 and Idaho and Wash- ington had 0. Maternity Deaths.
