20 FAILURE TO RENAME ESCH IS ATTACKED Tri-State Traffic Club Meeting in Kansas Would Have President Make Reappointment. By the Associated Press. PITTSBURG. Kans, March 20.-- Failure of the Senate to reappoint John J. Esch of Wisconsin to another term on the Interstate Commerce Commis- sion was characterized as “a litical move” at a meeting of State Traffic Club last night, attended by :hlp&tn and officlals representing 20 raflroads operating in Kansas, Missour! and Oklahoma. A resolution indorsing Mr. Esch for rflgrol tment was adopted to President Coolidge. The President was uested “to again appoint Mr. Esch an ht out the matter of principle, if it takes all Summer and part of next Winter." ‘The resolution asserted the Senate's action had lowered the dignity of the most important administrative commis- sion of the Government.
