NEW YORK, March 8.—Premier Mussolini of Italy has promised the World Anti-Narcotic League to come to America to attend a proposed world conference of women on the drug traffic. A letter from the premier, promising his attendance at such a conference, was read by Miss Sara Graham-Mulhall, former deputy commissioner of the De- partment of Drug Control of New York State, at a preliminary organization meeting. She was sent abroad by the Federation of Women's Clubs to study :he work of the opium commission of the League of Nations. Mrs. Harry Harvey Thomas, president of the New York City Federation, repre- senting 225,000 women, presided at the meeting and announced a second meet- ing at Town Hall, April 29, which she said would be attended by women from all parts of the country.
