S. Sol- diers’ Home Dies in La Jolla, Calif. Col. Willlam D. Crosby, Medical Corps, U, S. Army, retired, attending surgeon at the U. 8. Soldiers’ Home in this city from 1907 to 1913 and the possessor of a long Army record, died in La Jolla, Calif., Sunday, according to word received here. He had made his home in California since his re- tirement in July, 1921. His last active service was at the Jefferson Barracks, Mo, Burial is to be in St. Louis, Mo. Born at Mills River, Mass., July 18, 1857, Col. Crosby was graduated from Beloit College, Wis., with the degree of bachelor of science in 1879 and re- ceived his degree in medicine three years vater at Columbia University, New York. Joining the Army as a contract surgeon in 1883, Col. Croshy successively passed through the vari. ous grades to the rank of lieutenant colonel, being retired with the grade of colonel. The first 15 vears of his service was at Army posts west of the Mississippi River. © ‘At the outbreak of the Spanish-American War he was ap- pointed brigade surgeon of volunteers and accompanied one of the early expeditions to the Philippines. Soon after his arrival there he was ap- pointed commanding officer of t 1st Reserve Hospital in Manila. For conspicuous service in the battle of Manila in 1898 he was recommended for brevet lieutenant colonel. Upon his return to the United States in 1900 he was assigned as attending surgeon at New York City and served there and at other East- ern stations until 1905, when he re. turned to the I"Illlinmm‘- for another tour of duty. After this duty he was assigned to the Soldiers’ Home here. O'Leary, assistant United States attorney, who has b under fire bafore Justice Siddons on a chars of Intimidating Juror Kidwell, a wit- ness hefore the court in the contempt case against Harry F. Rinclair and Willlam J. Burns, was married yes- terday at Richmond, Va., to his secre tary, Miss Georgia P. Hazlett, who alds him in the conduct of his legal school at 1510 H street. O'Leary was divorced from his firat wife only a few weeks ago in Mary- land. James D. Lyle, vetéran Rich- mond marriage commissioner, per- formed the ceremony shortly after 2 o'clock yesterday. O'Leary's age was given as 40 years and that of Miss Hazlett as 28. O'Leary will return January 3, when the court resumes hearing of the intimidation charge. The marriage Was a surprise to his associates in the office of TUnited States Attorney Peyton Gordon. FUNERAL ARRANGED. Services for W. Clarence Duvall Will Be Held Tomorrow. Funeral services for W. Duvall, ears old, 4004 New Hamp- shire avenue, who died at George Washington University Hospital last Monday following an operation, will be held from the chapel of Clyde J.
