Guy Leon Prescott, 66 vears old, for many years a linotype operator for The Evening Star, died suddenly at his Summer home in Winthrop, Me., yes terday. Mr. Prescott was first employed by The Star in 1882. After working for several years he left Washington for a short period. He returned to work for The Star 1n 1888 and was employed continuously until retired in Novem- ber, 1926, He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edith L. Prescott; a son, Ralph H. Prescott, night foreman of The Star composing room; two daughters, Mrs. Irene M. Brennerman of Fort Fla. and Mrs. Jeannette B. Whitne of Berkeley, Calif., and four grand- children, Miss Louise Fdith Prescott, Miss Margaret Whitney, Miss Betty Brennerman and Carl Brennerman.
