Speculative en- thusiasm was keyed to a high pitch, and there were intervals when the stock recording instrument ran far be- hind actual transactions on the floor | in printing sales. The market was tak- ing its cue from what was transpiring on the Stock Exchange. i Sharp upward movements in {indi- | vidual issues featured the proceedings and caused considerable comment in specuiative circles. One of these was Celluloid Common. Having left off ast night at 102 for a gain of 19 points on the day, the price opened at a new high today at 105 and sub- sequently reached 113 before the de- mand was supplied. The price reacted sharply thereafter, breaking as much s 6 points between sales. It was dif- jcult to attribute the speculation in this issue to anything in the affairs of the compuny itself.
