SOCIETY Newly Appointed Ambassador of Chile, Senor Carlos Davila, Will Sail for Davila, will =ail from South America Satu for this country and is ewpected in Washington about the middie of Sep- tember. The retiring Ambassador, Senor Don Miguel Cruchaga Tocornal, will re- main until the new Ambasador ar- rives in Washington, and will leave shortly after that for Mexico, where he will serve as a neutral member of the Mexican Mixed Claims Commis- sion. Senor Cruchaga will be greatly missed in Washington, where he has made a large circle of friends during his short stay at this post. The newly appointed Ambassador of Belgium, Prince Albert de Ligne, and Princess de Ligne and their daughter, Princess Elizabeth de Ligne, are ex- pected to arrive in this country about the middle @ October.
