By the Associated Press. SEATTLE, Wash., June 10.—Five hundred employes of Superior Service Laundries, Inc., a Pacific Coast chain, have today filed a suit in interven- tion in the Superior Court here, alleg- ing that the Pacific Brotheghood In- vestment Co. and the Brotherhood Investment Co. of Cleveland, Ohio, a financial organization _connected with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, are insolvent. The com- piaint charges that the Cleveland Co. has liabilities of §$10,000,000 in excess of its resources. The suit was filed yesterday in answer to one begun this week by the Pacific Brotherhood Investment Co. against the laundry chain, seek- ing a writ of mandate forcifig the laundry people to give the financiers access to the laundry chain’s books. The brotherhood concern owns 81,000 shares of the common class B stock and 100 class A shares in the laundry chain. The_intervention suit charges that the Brotherhood Investment Co., through mismanagement in promot- ing a real estate scheme of Venice, Fla., has become involved to the ex- tent of $10,000,000 beyond its ability to pay. Allegation is made that the Cleveland company has taken more than $700,000 from the Seattle branch laundry in order to recoup losses and forestall bankruptcy, and is at pres- ent seeking control of the Superior Service Laundries. The suit asks the court to protect the interest of laundry employes in 10,000 shares of class B stock, which they allege was set aside for them, but later fraudulently transferred to the Pacific Investment Co.
