Kiefer, president of the fire department, and J. W. Dudley, fire chief and chairman of the drive committee, outlined the plans of the department and the progress thus far made in a communication addressed yesterday to the mayor and Town | Council. At the present time the de- | partment owns outright a triple com. bination pumper, with a capacity of 300 gallons per minute; a hook and ladder, donated by the Washington Sanitarium, and 750 feet of hose. do. nated by the town of Takoma Park.
