Nunan Was Victim of Gas Attack During Fighting in France. Funeral services were held this aft- ernoon for Lewis E. Nunan, 44, a World War veteran and former res dent of Washington and South Car- rollton, K. who died at Walla Walla, Wash., last Friday, as the re- sult of being gassed March, 1918. Rev. Mr. Nunan came to Washington in 1917, after enlisting in the 6th Engi- neers, who went overseas in 1917 as a part of the 3d Division. William Marbury Harley, 78 vears old, employed in the Bureau of En- graving and Printing for more than 50 years and for many years identified with Masonic circles here, died at his residence, 318 Webster street, yester- day after a long illness. Mr. Harley was a native of Balti- more, but had lived in this city more than 60 years. He was retired from the Government servite several years ago. He was a member of The New Jeru- | salem Lodge, F. A. A. M. and a past | high_priest of Mount Horeb Chagter, No. 7, R. A, M. He also was a Kr Templar and for many yea mem ber of Almas Temple of the Mystic Shrine. His father, the late Joseph L. Har ley, was the first master mechanic of the Bureau of Engraving and Print- ing, and also served there more than 50_years. Mr. Harley s st daughters, Mrs. Harry Clements, Mrs, Charles E. Roach, Mrs. James A. Sullivan and Mrs. T. Hilliard Rhoades; two sons, Walter B. Harley and Wil- vived by four liam E. Harley, and 17 grandchildren. His wife was the late Mrs. Rbse P. Harley.
