Henderson, president of the assocfation, praised Mr. Suter’s record and declared he had added consider- ably to the prestige of the federation in the District. The Piney Branch citizens will promote Mr. Suter's can- didacy among other civic bodies. “Inadequate sentences and insuffi- clent bonds” for criminals convicted in the local courts, as claimed by mem- bers of the association, prompted that body to launch a campaign to correct these conditions. A committee will be appointed to confer with other asso- ciations on the problem.
