Grabbing parts from the big revues of last’ Winter appears to be all thu rage this Summer in yaudeville, two numbers of this sort being on the bill at Keith's this week, offered by clever Fred Ardath and the Norman Phillips trio. Ardath is a clever talker and ‘co- median, carries an orchestra of good quality and a pretty miss who sings: and dances. All the mémbers of the band also dance or sing and the star taked it easy directing hh; com- panions. The recitation of “The Big Parade,” as -:Lnencore brought out, an effective e, probably the best A8 the act, all the members donning -nd tramping over the battle- 8 “no man's land.” Several n calls were given. #7Mr. and Mrs. Norman Phillips and “heir bright child, who last season iwere a big part of the “‘Scandals,” ?vum a sketch wherein the parents fhave a hard time making ends meet while their friends back home are under: the impression they are be- coming “famous. Then the “kid" while he plays the mouth-organ and dreams. This number was also well recelved. Lucille Ballantine and four men dancers and singers put over a good act, Lucille being a star dancer and costumed _richly for the warm weather. She has a perfect figure and never hesitates to dhpll.y it with in- nocent effectiveness. The lights had to be lowered to get this number away. Other good acts include the Great Johnson in a contortion act; Bert and Dolly Ryan in clever dancing; Leo Beers, a neat singer of catchy songs; [has.’ Chase, a newcomer to these Parts, who creates lots of laughter by the way he eats a cigar and matches and dances‘grotesquely, and Mulroy, McNeece and Ridge on roller skates. The house attractions filled out the program. EARLE—HnlhmI a.nd Bnrw The Farle presents a fine bill of entertainment this week, with Hol- land and Barry carrying off top honors with wonderful Spanish.danc- ing to the music of guitars in the hands of their troubddours, who also take part in the dancing. The finale of the act is a whirlwind dance, an Americanized version of a Spanish dflnce to the tune of “Stars -and smpes Forever,” that won well- deserved applause. | "“Another dancing act, “A{Bit of l\m cal _ Comedy in a Vaudeville ; comes on with a “mutt” that sings Way,” by Charles O'Connor and Violet McKee brought o'.‘l":ll g dancing and pretty songs. s is assisted by the Leslie Sisters, dancers; Sidney Franklin at the iano, and Jack Moeser, who shows he audience really how to do the “Charleston.” The “Five Original ‘Honey Boys” give an entertaining 15 minutes o! songs, dance and comedy. entitled a Beehive Full g}hnay 2 Tho yo?uns mg‘;n’by one the number being es g‘:m Smith has one of these silly u:ts that doesn’t mean anything, but :tm V] a the show with very good wire walk- ing stunts.
