Rev. Eugene J Connelly officiated. Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery. McCormick was among the first to volunteer for service when the United States entered the World War. He leaves but one near rela tive, McCormick injured, testimony shows, in an encounter with a fellow roomer at the Sixth street address, Vincent L. Murphy, a park policeman, who, it was alleged by police, admitted striking the veteran twice. Murphy was held for action of the grand jury following a coroner’s inquest conduet ed by J. Ramsay Nevitt, coroner. Mc Cormick died of u fractured skull and a hemorrhage.
