Indorsement at the International Suffrage Alliance convention at Paris of the principle of equality of men and women in the professional and industrial world was termed a vie- tory for a principle laid down by the National Woman's Party in a state- ment last night by Miss Alice Paul, founder of the organization. . Refusal of the alliance to admit the woman's party, if voted. Miss Paul said, would serve to exchide the only organized group of women in the United States standing for the offi- clally adopted policy of the alliance. The National League of Women Voters. which is opposing entrance of the Woman's Party, she said, has opposed the adopted principle. Miss Paul's statement id that the National’s Woman's Party had ap- plied for membership in the allance only after having been urged for three years by “that organization to do so. It was in support of the policy just adopted hy the convention, Miss Paul said, that the. Woman's Party sent delegates to the convention, and “it is the policy we shall continue to sup- port regardless of the action which may be taken on our application for membership.” LAWYER DROWNS IN BAY | BRIGGS Georgian on Business Visit to Havre de Grace, Md., Is Victim.
