He spoke on the Great Chalice of Antiock, illustrating his lecture with numbers of slides loaned by the present owners of the Chalice, which is at present in safe- keeping in the vaults of a New York bank. “The Great Chalice of Antioch,” which seems destined to fill an ‘im- portant place in the modern Christian world, was discovered by chance in the ruins on the site of the first Christian Church in old Antioch, in 1910. It was ecpuired by Kouchakji Brothers of Paris, dealers in antiqui- ties, and was there restored by Andre, the most eminent aritst known in the restoration of antiques.
