WOMAN ACCUSED. Man Who Left Her $30,000 Be- lieved Victim of Poison. WHEELING, W. Va., February 25 (®).—An. indictment charging Mrs, Jessie Hoge with murder in connection with the death of Nathan Bell, a boarder, on January 2, 1925, was re- turned by a special grand jury. Mrs, Hoge was lodged in jail and is being held without bond. Three brothers of Bell who reside in Ireland, at two trials have been unsuccessful in contesting their brother’s purported will, which left an estate valued at $30,000 to Mrs. Hoge. At the second trial receftly counsel for the brothers alleged that Bell had dled as a result of poisoning. The body was ordered exhumed and chemical analysis of the stomach, Prosecutor A. C. MADELIA, Minn., February 25 (#). —Mrs. Rose Davis, 107 years old, be- lleved to have been the oldest woman in the State, was buried yesterday. She died Monday. Up to a few months before her death Mrs. Davis could read and sew with the aid of glasses.
