Higgins is probbaly the better comedlan of the two, but Byrd gets many a laugh as the ‘slow-moving, dumbell type of ne- gro. The dancing by the entire company course, this may come under what is termed poetic license, but the fact re- mains that this company is one of the fastest moving, nimblest stepping ag- gregation on the stage. The singing of the Three Dixie Songbirds is an- other outstanding feature. This trio 1s composed of Hilda Perleno, Ber- leanna Blanks and Amanda Randolph. Julia Moody, as the village vamp, Is one of the hits of the show and her singing of jazz songs is original in style. The chorus, both male and female, keeps going at an unbe le ratc all through the performa nd sev- eral of the members do creditable solo numbers. N3TON, D. ©C. Lew Kelly, one of the best dope comedians today, heads the show and is ably assisted by his side kick, Bert Marks.
