The instantaneous value of current or voltage In an alternating current circuit depends on the number of lines of flux that are cut in a given fraction of a second of time. . The greater the number of lines cut in that unit of time the greater will be the instantaneous vadue of current or voltage. The number of lines that are the number of lines of flux produced by the magnets. These can be in- creased or decreased within cestain | limits by increasing or decreasing the | strength of the magnet. The secord actor is the number of conductors| hat are cutting the lines of flux. A | greater number of lines of flux can be ent by winding more turns in the cutting or rotating coll, and the ad-| ditional turns will each cut more lines and cause a greater current flow | in the eircuit.
