THE EVENING STAR, WASHINGTON, D. C, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1925. A message of thanks to the men and women of this section ~through whose help our blend from the old South has become the most popular of all coffees in the United States WHAT a joy it is—that yearly Thanksgiving feast! To revel with whole heart in the dishes you like best! To think gratefully for a time, only of the blessings of life! To you at this happy season, we wish to bring our word of gratitude. Among the good things on your table, will be, perhaps, the coffee which bears our name. In many homes in this city, and throughout the country, it will be adding its share of content- ment and good cheer on Thanksgiving Day. That you have chosen this coffee which we blend and roast —that so many others have chosen it—is for us very plainly a real and continual cause for thankfulness. For the actual builders of our prosperity are clearly the men and women who drink and enjoy Maxwell House Coffee. From the very start years ago in Tennessee, the greatest force in out business has been the “good word” spoken by those who knew this coffec and liked it. Named after the famous old hotel in Nashville The first to spread the news of Maxwell House Coffee, were the guests of the old hotel itself, down in Nashville, Tennessce. From the days of the Civil War on, the Maxwell House was celebrated througheut the whole South, for its wonderful food. Year after year the great banquets and balls brought together underits hospitable roof the notable men and women of old Dixie. Long afterward in their homes, they remembered the mellow richness of the special blend of coffee which was served there. In community after community, families who appreciated the good things of life, took steps to secure it for their own tables. Today this same blend of fine coffees, that won such praise years ago, is on sale throughout the United States. It has pleased more people than any other coffee ever offered for sale. And today you enjoy the same full-flavored goodness and rich aroma which dclighted the guests of the old Maxwell House. We blend and roast Maxwell House Coffee in just the same way as at the very start, long ago.
