Mrs. Mary Burris Stuart, 72 years old, widow of Alexander Tait Stuart, long prominent as an educator here, died at her residence, 3162 Seven: teenth street, yesterday afternoon. Although an invalid for the last 2 years, Mrs. Stuart never ceased taking an interest in religious and philanthropic work. She was & member of the original board of managers of Sibley Hospital and was one of the leading ‘workers in the opening and operation of that institution.
