Local police were given the number of the car and Detectives Kelly and Scrivener arrested Stevens, who denied the ac cusation, but admitted passing the scene of the accident. Miss Mossburg was taken to the Alexandria General Hospital. Her condition was not critical, it was reported, and her par ents expect to bring her home tonight or tomorrow.
