By the Associated Pre NEW YORK, May 5.—Jack’s res- taurant, in Sixth avenue opposite the Hippodrome, closed forever this morn ing when the last guest had finished his after-party supper. Jack Dunstan himself announced, unexpectedly, at the dinner hour last night that his restaurant, famous for years as the meeting place of actors, newspaper men, politicians and sportsmen, would be closed because he “needed a rest.” With the closing, 100 employes lost their employment, but Jack said that none need worry and at least a score of them are independently wealthy. On the walls of Jack’s place were murals by Edward S. Simmons, cousin of Ralph Waldo Emerson, depicting scenes from the story of “Little Red Riding Hood,” from the tales of Hans Anderson and the Brothers Grimm. Jack said he didn’t know what would become of the restaurant—per- haps he would give it to his son, Willilam Dunstan. At any rate, it wouldn't be reopened under the old Bame. U.
