BERLIN, April 24 post office departmen an experiment which bly stands unparalleled in the history of postal delivery. It will permit firms sending out advertising matter to a particular class or group of people to hand these to the post office unaddressed, and the postmen will be obliged to ferret out the addressees. For instance, a notice or advertise- ment of special interest to lawyers can be handed to the post office in lots of not less than 1,000, with the inscription, “For lawyers.” The post- man will then undertake to hand one copy of the circular to every lawver of whose existence he knows. Again, a circular may be labeled “To the housewife,” and so on. The charge for this service will be two pfennigs—about half a cent—per efrcular. BRUSH FIRE IGNITES OIL.
