FOODSTUFF EXPORTS DROP DURING WEEK Special Dispateh to The Star.: BALTIMORE, March 30.—Shipments of foodstuffs from the port of Balti- more slumped last week, only 361,297 bushels of grain being exported. The shipments included 190,864 bushels of March 30| wheat, 120,433 of rye and 50,000 of purchasing | barley. Flour exports totaled 5390 barrels, against 100,061 for the previ- ous week. NEW YORK, March 30—Increased busines in 1924 is retflected in the annual reports of two large depart- ment store groups—Gimbel Bros. of New York, Philadelphia and Mil- waukee and tue National Department Stores, Inc., which operates 14 estab- lishments in various cities throughout the country. Net sales of stores, totaling history of the organization, and re- sulted in net profits, after ail charges and taxes, of $5,482,363, ‘The National Department Stores re- ported net sales of $74,368,555 and profits of §3,032,317.
